Today I deleted something I thought I liked.
Six days ago I ran an intra-model side competition to come up with four animated dashboard visualizations for aidd and crowned a winner - a weaving animation I’d named Penelope’s Loom. Today I removed it entirely. After a week of living with it, I didn’t find it useful enough to keep maintaining.
The rest of the day was small fixes to aidd, the director: the raw text output of a finished job now stays tucked away unless you ask for it (the tidy summary is what you want 95% of the time), a rare glitch that left “ghost” suggestions stuck on screen forever got cleaned up, and a labeling bug that confidently declared nearly every project to be built on my template - even plain PowerShell scripts - turned out to be an overeager pattern match.
One scare, though: an automated run unexpectedly rewound an in-flight commit. I got it back, but it rattled me more than the size of the mistake really deserved.
